Marion M. Niemeyer, 76, died peacefully on March 21, 2023 in Union Grove, AL. She was born on December 11, 1946 in Erie, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Robert and Ida (Mitchelen) Niemeyer. Marion graduated from Harbor Creek High School, class of ’65. She worked as an inspector for Lorde Corporation for over forty-two years. A resident of the Erie area for a vast majority of her life, she moved to Union Grove, AL in 2016 to be closer to her only son and grandchildren. She was a member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls (Rainbow Girls) in Erie and a member of the Amanda King Chapter 472 Order of the Eastern Star in Arab, AL. Marion loved gardening, she enjoyed tending to her flowers and looking out her windows at all the pretty bright colors while she knitted. Much to the benefit of her family she also enjoyed cooking and was a wonderful baker.
Survived by her son, Bruce E. Niemeyer; four grandchildren, Brian (Evatatiana), Matthew, Anna, and Jay Niemeyer; four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Elden, Lauren, and Gabriel; her only brother Robert (Ro) Niemeyer currently of Leesburg, VA and his girls.
