Stan Fee Stan Fee
August 30, 1933 – March 21, 2023

Stan left this earth for a better place at the age of 89, on March 21, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his parents James Thomas (Jim Tom) and Lois Huey Fee and his sister Isabelle Fee Wells.

Stan is survived by his wife of 68 years Ann and their children John (Carol), Sharon Welker (Jody), Doug, siblings Thornton (Patsy) and Charlotte Fee Hudson, beloved nieces and nephews, and grandchildren Cody (Kim) Fee, Allie Fee, Anna Welker and Joe Welker.

Stan was a man of action, one to be counted on for service to family, church, work and the community. In addition to an exemplary professional life serving his country through the United States Air Force and NASA, he worked with the Redstone Federal Credit Union and ERC. He gave countless volunteer hours to improve life in Huntsville. He was an elder at Trinity Presbyterian Church, served and chaired the board for Presbyterian Apartments, ran for public office, supported his wife Ann during her years on the Huntsville City School Board, helped with fundraising for Learning Quest, and thoroughly enjoyed playing softball in the Huntsville Senior Softball League, and was credited as the founder of the Triad (over 73!) Softball League.

He supported his children in their various activities and goals throughout their lives, including coaching organized sports teams. He loved his parents and all of his Tennessee and Carolina families, and showered his grandchildren with interest and love. Stan was busy with many activities and projects; he completed major home improvements, built desks and shelves, sang in the church choir, planned family vacations and celebrations, and took care of cars, home and lawn.

The family thanks the nurses and staff of Floyd E. “Tut” Fann State Veterans Home for exemplary service this last year. They also thank hospice and the home caregivers. Stan will be missed until we meet again.

A memorial service will be held Saturday March 25th, 2:00 pm at the Chapel at Berryhill Funeral Home 2305 N Memorial Parkway, with committal at Maple Hill Cemetery Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be appreciated for Presbyterian Home
