Funeral services for Mr. John Henry Rhines, age 89 of Sevierville, Tn., will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Wesley’s Chapel Christian Church in Delta with Rev. Billy Todd officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Rhines was born in Knoxville, Tn., but later moved to the Clay County area, where he lived for 56 years. He was employed and retired from Wellborn Cabinet. Mr. Rhines had a love for gospel music. He actually wrote and sang gospel music, as well. He was a member of Wesley’s Chapel Christian Church, where he served as a deacon and clerk.
Mr. Rhines is survived by a son, Wayne Rhines (Cherry) of Sevierville, Tn.; two daughters, Joan Maples (Tom) of Kodak, Tn. and Kathy Ingold (Steve) of Knoxville, Tn.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a step son, Eddie Moody (Melissa) of Orange Beach, AL.; and an extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Magnolia Rhines; his wife, Betty Rhines; four brothers; and two sisters.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Wesley’s Chapel Christian Church, from 10:00 A. M. until service time at 11:00 A.M.
