Benny Murphy Cagle, age 75 of Double Springs, passed away on March 12, 2013 at Huntsville Hospital.
He was born on March 14, 1937 in Double Springs, AL to Silas and Willie Mae Bobo Cagle. During his working career, Mr. Cagle was employed in various types of industry, including working as a mechanic, logging for 15 years, and he worked for 15 years in mobile home and fiberglass industry. He enjoyed being outside watching birds eating at his feeders, feeding squirrels, and watching all animals. He also enjoyed walking.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 6-9pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where services will be held on Friday, March 15 at 2pm. Reverends Delmer Duboise, Mickey Crane and Vernon Hood will officiate. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janice Cagle; sons, Teddy Cagle, Tony Cagle and his wife Barbara; daughter, Ilene Garrison and her husband Steve; brother, Bud Cagle and his wife Estell; sister, Mary Lou Borden and her husband Arlis; he was “Paw Paw” to 5 grandchildren, Kayleen Gillespie, Jeremy Cagle, Amanda Cagle, Jessica Montgomery, Tyler Cagle; he was “Paw Paw Ben” to 4 great grandchildren, Brody Gillespie, Kaden Gillespie, Emma Cagle and Elaina Cagle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Silas and Willie Mae Cagle; sister, Evie Mae Cagle; and daughter-in-law, Annette Cagle.
