Barbara Staggs, 82, of Florence, AL, passed away at her daughter’s residence on Thursday, March 2, 2023. Born in Corinth, MS on December 4, 1940 to the late J.T. Coln and Gracie Mullins Coln, Barbara will forever be missed by her family and friends. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 pm Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. A celebration of Barbara’s life will be at 2 pm, Sunday, March 5, 2023, officiated by Raburn Coln. Interment will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Family will serve as pallbearers. Magnolia Funeral Home – East is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Barbara’s memory include her husband, Earl Staggs; her children, Sandy Powers Blackstock, James Ricky Powers, Tony Powers (Annette), and Jeff Powers; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; her brother, Roy Coln (Jane); her sisters, Sue Burcham (James), and Ruth Long; other relatives and a host of friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her father, J.T. Coln; her mother, Gracie Mullins Coln; and her brothers, Charles Coln and Jerry Coln.
