Mary Ann Thompson On February 28, 2023, Mary Ann (Manley) Thompson, 83, of Huntsville, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bernard Thompson, who passed away two years ago.

 

Mary Ann was known for her grace, compassion, and humility, and she lived a simple yet meaningful life dedicated to her family, friends, and faith. Many who knew her from The Downtown Rescue Mission and Thompson Plastics affectionately referred to her as “Mom.” Mary Ann’s passing is a great loss to all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.

 

Mary Ann is survived by her children, Kyle & Linda Thompson, Terri & David Miller, Kay Alexander & Tracy Ingram, and Kirk & Kristy Thompson. They will forever carry her spirit in their hearts. She also leaves behind ten beloved grandchildren, Geni Michelle, Kyle Jr, Clayton, Connor, Courtney, Ian, Chloe, Chelsea, Katie, and Maverick, as well as three great-granddaughters Nina, Elysia and Zoey, who will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 5th, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Berryhill Funeral Home. A chapel funeral service will follow directly after. Burial will take place at Huntsville Memory Gardens on Monday.

Instead of flowers, the family requests donations to Pineview Baptist Church.
