Wanda Elizabeth James, 71, of Tuscumbia, Alabama died on Sunday, February 26, 2023.
She was native of Colbert County and a member of Little Bear Creek Baptist Church. She was retired from Shoals Hospital after 45 years.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Byrd James; father, Harmon E James; sister, Sara Lynn James; grandparents, Leadville and Lela Byrd and Will and Annie Etta James.
She is survived by her brothers, WC James (Lynn), Joseph James, and Ray James; sister Mary Ann James; nephews, Jason James, Jeff James, and Bubba James; nieces, Shannon Laster and Brandy James; great – nephews, Cobin, Dathan, Logan, Connor, Kayden, Jax and Riley; great – nieces, Lily, Ava and Aria.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Little Bear Creek Baptist Church. The funeral service will immediately follow at the church with Hollis Retherford and Jeff Newton officiating.
Pallbearers are Jason James, Jeff James, Bubba James, Brit Laster, Cobin Laster, Dathan Laster, Conner Laster and Logan James.
Honorary pallbearers are Ricky King and John Ledlow.
