Funeral services for Laura Yvonne Bell, age 73 of Delta, will be held Wednesday March 1, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Union D. Baptist Church, with Bro. Reid Ward and Bro. Eugene Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining Cemetery. She will lie in state at the church from 11:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M.
Mrs. Bell was born in Talladega but lived most of her life in Clay County. She graduated from Talladega High School and once she graduated she married her husband of 53 years. She traveled with her husband for a short time to Warner Robbins Air Force Base where they lived for a year. She worked for the Clay County Board of Education as a lunch room aide for 24 years. In her spare time she loved gardening, quilting, and cooking, even making some beautiful wedding cakes. She was the best mom, very supportive, loving, and accepting. Her family wanted to include lovely words of affirmation that describe who Mrs. Bell was. “There will never be enough words to express how much we love you, and how thankful we are that God chose you to be our Mom, Mamaw, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. You were our biggest supporter, our number one cheerleader, and our rock. You were and always be a vital part of who we are today and forever. You taught us what it means to have a kind, caring heart, how to love and serve others before ourselves. You were the prime example of a Christian woman, and had a heart for Jesus that will always inspire us. You were our favorite “I Love You”. You always know how to make everything better no matter the circumstances. Your love knew no bounds. We will carry with us all our memories and lessons you taught us for the rest of our lives. We will forever love you!!”
