Larry Southern, 78, died February 21, 2023. He was an Educator for 36 years, 35 of which he served the Colbert County School System.
Larry is survived by his wife, Janet Southern; his children, Jeff (Andrea) and Steven (Kara); Dr. Brian James (Kasey), Jessica Fuller (Nathan); daughter-in-law, Suzanne Southern. Grandchildren, Joseph (April), Jordan (Kimberly), Joshua (Ashlyn), Hannah Chester (Ben), Hayden, Branson, Aniston Southern; Finley and Cooper James, Ally and Kyle Fuller, Jagger and Karlei Pence; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Wilma Southern, Pauletta (wife), Joel Southern (son) and Addison Whitaker (great-granddaughter).
Visitation will be Friday, February 24th, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. A Celebration of Life will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Greg Beasley and Chad Holder officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Colbert Heights, Attn: Building Fund.
