On February 19, 2023, at 3:00 a.m., God called home his daughter and handmaiden, Elena “Corina” Wilson, to be with Him in His kingdom. While taken away too soon, Corina lived a full and incredible life that defined her unique and unforgettable style leaving her forever imprinted on our hearts and minds. Heaven opened its gates to welcome an angel that left behind a trail of tears and beautiful memories.
The love of her husband’s life, fabulous mother to her son, kind, caring and phenomenal friend, always ready to help, Corina was an incredible soul and truly brightened every room she entered. With a deep love of fashion, blending art and beauty, Corina had an ongoing and passionate love affair with colors, patterns, glitter, and glamour that brought her joy and a never-ending supply of pure wonder for those around her. From the tip of her beloved shoes to the bright and spectacular evening gowns, Corina exuded an unparalleled sense of style that earned her legions of fans across the globe as a fashion influencer. All the while, Corina cherished the time she spent at home with her husband and son often entertaining friends and family as a warm, welcoming, charming, and gracious host. Her family and friends were always in for a great party but unable to answer one simple question: what will Corina wear tonight?
Born in 1976, in Tigveni, Arges, Romania, Corina completed her studies and earned a Master’s degree in Philology from The University of Pitesti, Romania. Her avid interest in foreign languages enabled her to develop a broad communication skillset spanning over six different languages. It is this skillset that helped her to later communicate, coordinate and operate Wilson Global Inc. while spearheading the company mission across multiple countries and cultures as its President.
Corina is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Robert R Wilson; her son, Robby; her mother, Ilinca Badea; her father, Tudor Tone; brother, Dragos (Oana); eight nieces and nephews; ten aunts and uncles; as well as countless friends and professional contacts.
Corina was a remarkable woman that touched our lives in so many incredible ways. While she is now with God and Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, she will forever be with us in spirit and all the wonderful and treasured memories she lovingly helped us create throughout the years.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home in Huntsville, Alabama from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Holy Cross – St. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 3021 University Dr., Huntsville, AL 35816, on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Corina’s final resting place is at Huntsville Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family is kindly requesting donations to be made in Corina’s memory to the Holy Cross – St. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
