Funeral service for Ray Sanders, 88, will be Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Family and Friends – Spencer Clemons officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home. A private burial will be at a later date.
Mr. Sanders died on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at his residence. He was born March 25, 1934, in Morgan County, to Richard Luther “Dink” Sanders and Thelma Carmon Nelson Sanders.
He was employed as a Machinist by Teledyne Wah Chang, prior to his retirement. He was a United States Army Veteran, where he was decorated as a sharpshooter and also served in the Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter: Barbara Sanders Kilpatrick, a brother: J.L. Sanders and a sister: Joyce Sanders Drake.
