Velissa Kaye Hartley, age 50, died February 18, 2023 after a 15-month battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathryn Hartley; her brother, Steven Hartley; and her dog Wyatt.
She is survived by her father, Winfield Hartley; her twin sister Melissa Hartley (Andy Burt); and her “kiddo” Rachelle Williams (Matt Williams); her grandchildren, Jordan, Aaron and Josiah Williams; her significant other, Jeff Nayman; and her dog Doc.
Velissa attended Northeast Lauderdale High School in Meridian Mississippi. She worked with her boyfriend Jeff delivering pharmaceuticals and did volunteer work with her sister Melissa. Velissa was a crafter “crafters gonna craft” and she would make beautiful wreaths and flowers for friends and family because she was a giving soul. She even had an Etsy shop called WreathsByMcintire.
Velissa’s final wishes were for family and friends to have an informal memorial and she would like donations to be made to St. Jude’s, the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society.
