Mrs. Lois Marie Moody, age 87, of Sardis, Tennessee went home to be with Jesus on February 14, 2023. She passed away peacefully at her home. Mrs. Lois was born September 15, 1935 in Reagan, Tennessee. She dedicated her life to God and her family. Mrs. Lois enjoyed working out in the yard in her flowers and shopping. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dennis Britton and Lela Britton Swift; her son, Jimmy Moody; brother, Robert Britton; and sisters, Jean Britton and Geneva Britton. Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Mr. J W Moody; her daughter, Lisa Kelley (Jeff); her sister, Brenda Blair; four grandchildren, Lori Perry (Kent), Lindsey Scott (Stuart), Cade Tatum, and Jordan Tatum; and seven great grandchildren, Sladen Martin, Case Perry, Alana Manness, Wade Manness, Chloe Scott, Ava Scot, and Sy Scott.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM, Thursday, February 16, 2023 at the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, 4-10 PM and on Thursday, 9 AM – 2 PM.
