Christine Broadway Thornton, age 91, of Florence, died Monday, March 11, 2013. Visitation will be Thursday, March 14, from noon until 1 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Steve Reding officiating. Entombment will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Family will serve as pallbearers.
Christine was a member of North Wood Methodist Church, Weslyn Sunday School Class, U.M.W. and Eastern Star No. 5. She was retired from Reynolds Alloys where she was employed for 43 years as a Lab Analyst.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Thornton; and niece, Anita Franks (Charles).
Survivors are her nephew, Billy J. Broadway (Shirley); nieces, Sarah Owens (Ron) and Vicki Broadway Quigley (Patrick); six great-nephews; and three great-nieces. You may sign the guest register at sprywilliams.com.
