Timothy James Posey (Tim), 67, passed away at the Waters of Winchester on February 11, 2023. Tim was born in Harvey, IL April 23, 1955, to the late Arvell and Elizabeth (Lib) Stovall Posey. A lifelong resident of Franklin County, Tim was a 1973 graduate of Huntland High School and lived his adult life in Winchester. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Huntland and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
Tim worked in the industrial maintenance industry, retiring in 2019 as the Maintenance Director at New Life Center. Tim was very talented with his hands and could repair or fix virtually anything. He was at home in the great outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Tim was a very kind, gentle and generous soul with a heart the size of Texas. He never met a stranger and would do anything to help a friend.
Tim married Nancy Casteel on April 5, 1975, and she preceded him in death on December 1, 2006. He is survived by his daughter Miranda (Mandy) Tubb (John) and son Timothy James Posey Jr. (T.J.) and granddaughters Callie Morse, Gracie Morse and Karlee Posey. Tim adored his granddaughters and loved spending time and spoiling them. He is also survived by his younger brother Mark (Carol) and many cousins, aunts and uncles and close friends. Tim leaves behind his lap dog fur babies, Saban, Nick and the late Princess LuLu.
The visitation will be Wednesday, February 15 from 10:00-noon with funeral immediately following at Winchester Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Huntland. Reverend Gary Tubb officiating.
