Mr. Ersie B. Maness, age 94, passed away on Thursday in Lexington. He was born August 20, 1928 in Henderson County to the late Oscar and Mandy Woods Maness. He was retired from MagneTek and was a U. S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He enjoyed camping, fishing, going out to eat with family, and going to flea markets. Mr. Maness was preceded in death by a grandson, Nick Cox; one brother, Mr. Elmer Maness; and one sister, Mrs. Velma Adams. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Mrs. Joe Anne Segraves Maness; two sons, Mike Maness and Steve Maness; two daughters, Karen Tuberville (Mike) and Shonda Maness; four grandchildren, Eric Tuberville (Nicole), Kristi French, Stephen Maness, and Derek Maness; six great grandchildren, Hudson, Bentley, Chandler, Troy, Addison and Presley; and a special friend, Alexis Harris.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM, Saturday, February 11, 2023 at County Line Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Central Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, 4-8 PM at Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington and on Saturday, 9:30 – 11 AM at County Line Baptist Church.
