Johnnie Dale Scott was born on June 3, 1944 in Florence, Alabama and passed away at his home in Rosenberg, Texas on January 22, 2023.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Scott; his children, James Scott (Ranya) of San Marcos, CA, Lisa Boyd (Stephen) of Huntsville, AL, Joseph Zamarron (April), and Jason Zamarron (Joelyn) all of Needville, TX; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Deborah Williams (Billy); brother-in-law, Tommy Kizer; mother-in-law, Consuelo Hernandez; sister-in-law, Patricia Kotzur (Wayne) of Texas; and many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jamie Leigh Scott; parents, Lawrence and Josie Scott; sister, Barbara Kizer; niece, Emily Berry; and infant sisters, Carolyn and Laura Scott.
After a lifetime of working as an ironworker, Johnnie retired in December 2011 from Cornerstone Detention Products as Field Supervisor installing the security systems in many prisons and jails across the country.
A memorial service will be held in Rosenberg, Texas at a later date.
