Ann Scott Crumpton passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023, in Willowbrooke Court at Magnolia Trace. She had celebrated her 100th birthday on July 15th. She was preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, Walt Crumpton; grandson, Drew Crumpton; parents, Mildred and Paul Scott; and sisters, Emily O’Reilly, Marion Cecil, and Paula Johnson.

Ann was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Huntsville Symphony Orchestra Guild, Cosmopolitan Club, Botanical Gardens Guild, and Les Joyeux. Her favorite hobby was bridge and even at 100, she played two weeks before her death.

Ann is survived by her children, Lea Crumpton Chaffin (Phil) and Scott Crumpton (Debbie); grandchildren, Allison Chaffin Griffin (Joey) and Andy Chaffin (Jessica); and six great-grandchildren.

 

A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Saturday, February 11, at 11:30 am. No visitation is planned.

Ann’s family would like to thank all the wonderful employees in the two care facilities at Magnolia Trace who treated her like family and took such good care of her during the five years she lived there.

 

In lieu of flowers please perform an act of kindness in memory of Ann.
