Eunice Christine Cook

Age 83 of Red Boiling Springs, formerly of Orlinda, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Hartsville Health and Rehab. She was born July 17, 1939 in Calmer, KY to James Herbert & Alta Harris Smith. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of Cherry Mound Baptist Church. She loved the mountains, especially the Cumberland Gap area. She was talented in sewing, knitting and crocheting. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Cook; daughter, Cindy Lamb; great-grandson, Everett Cook; sister, Tammy Burke. She is survived by her son, Alan Cook, Lafayette, TN; daughters, Donna (Bruce) Rubley, Hayden, Idaho and Christi (Chris) Kellas, Portland, TN; brother, Ray (Marie) Smith, Morristown, TN; sisters, Phyllis Hoskins, Whitesburg, TN and Patricia Wilson, Middlesboro, KY; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 1pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Pastor Greg Young officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove UMC Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family is planned for Wednesday, January 25, 2023 4-8PM and Thursday, January 26, 2023 11am until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
