Dorothy "Dot" Juanita Tackett Dorothy Juanita “Dot” Tackett, 85, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at the North Mississippi Medical center after a sudden illness. She was born August 31, 1937, to Posey and Essie Mae McAnally Rusoe. She was an Amory native. She was a nurse’s aid in her younger years. She also worked at Plantersville Pants Factory, Sheller’s in Verona, and Custom Foam in Sherman. After retirement, she did babysitting and took care of some wonderful children she loved. She was an avid gardener and she loved to cook. She was a member of the Sherman Baptist Church.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Reverend Don Sparks officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery in Nettleton.

Survivors include one daughter, Donna Hehl (Steve) of Genoa, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Annette Rusoe of Tupelo, MS; one granddaughter, Audrey Roellgen (Jake Shank) of Woodville, OH; two grandsons, Ryan Mitchell of Sherman, MS and Jeremy Mitchell of Evans, GA; five great grandchildren, Mackenzie Mitchell, Analyse Mitchell, Landon Shedenhelm, Sydney Wilt, and Kynlee Shank.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Tackett, who died in 2006; one brother, Clinton Rusoe; and her parents.

Pallbearers will be Steve Hehl, Jeremy Mitchell, Zac Underwood, Brian Horton, Thomas Horton, and Ryan Mitchell.

Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
