Mary Elizabeth Farmer Montgomery, age 94, of Union, Kentucky, formerly of Pleasant View, died Monday, January 16, 2023 at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View at 1:00PM on Saturday, January 21st, with Bro. Paul Edwards and Bro. Jeff Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View United Methodist Church Cemetery with family members serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00AM until the hour of service at 1:00PM.
Mrs. Montgomery was born on April 6, 1928, in Montgomery, Alabama, to the late Pullman & Fannie Hall Kelly. She was a retired sales associate with Belk Department Store. She had a great love for her crochet group and her church family at Pleasant View United Methodist where she was a longtime member, and for her many friends at StoryPoint Senior Living in Union, KY.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, James R. Farmer; second husband, Douglas Montgomery; son, Paul Farmer; daughter, Gloria Farmer; and seven siblings.
Survivors include her son, James (Susan) Farmer; granddaughter, Melissa (Don) Gorbandt; and grandsons, Aaron (Sherri) Tice, Eric (Crystal) Farmer, and Scott (Teresa) Farmer; seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
