Gordon Wayne Leopard, 81 of Athens, passed away on Monday, January 9th, 2023, at his residence. Mr. Leopard was born on August 12th, 1941, in Limestone County, to Gordon and Jewell Griffin Leopard.
Mr. Leopard is survived by his wife, Linda Faye Leopard; son Jeffery Leopard (Joy); daughter Rhonda Parker (Rick); sister Linda Luna (James); sister Ann Whitt; grandchildren Matthew Leopard (Ashley), Summer Goode (Ivan), Caleb Goode, Sean Leopard (Kennedy), and Colby Goode (Madeleine); great-grandchildren Ellie Goode, Sophie Roberts, Gwen Leopard, and Louis Leopard; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Doyce Leopard and Marshall Leopard; and brother-in-law Paul Whitt.
A graveside service for Mr. Leopard will be Tuesday, January 17th, 2023, at 2:00pm at Limestone Memorial Gardens, with Barry Tucker officiating. Pallbearers will be Matthew Leopard, Caleb Goode, Sean Leopard, Colby Goode, Ivan Romero, and Jamie Townsend.
Mr. Leopard was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, husband, and brother. He was an avid woodworker and general handyman. He never met a stranger and was loved by many.
