Lory Marie Kuykendall was born on June 19, 1977, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and went to be with the Lord December 25, 2022.
Lory was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth H. Kuykendall of Huntsville, Alabama and her grandparents, Leroy and Wilma Gray and Granville and Mary John Kuykendall all of Northport, Alabama.
Lory is survived by her mother, Marcille Kuykendall, her brother and sister-in-law Brent and Jessica Kuykendall and her two beloved nephews, Ken and Anderson Kuykendall all of Huntsville, Alabama.
Lory was beautiful. She had a brilliant mind and an amazingly quick wit with an infectious charisma that drew people to her. She loved to laugh. She was an accomplished, highly respected and sought out attorney. She loved to travel and experience new cultures and made friends all over the world. She had a deep, deep faith in God and was never afraid to ask the hard questions, even those that are often impossible to answer. Our great comfort now is that she is with the Lord and all those questions have answers. But Lory also had a joyful childlike love of simple things and never tired of playing a game of Twister with her brother or playing on the floor with her nephews doing whatever they wanted. She was elegant and sophisticated yet at home she was just a simple girl. She loved her family and her friends fiercely. Her place will never be filled.
