Thomas Rodney Barfield, 58, Tuscaloosa, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. A private memorial service will be held in Tuscaloosa.
Tommy was a native of Tuscumbia. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving with Big Red 1, Delta Company out of Fort Riley, Kansas. He served his country during the Cold War and in Germany with the Infantry Division as a 60 Cal Machine Gunner. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Linda Barfield, and his nephew, Jesse Carl Rainey.
Tommy is survived by his sister, Regina Barfield Carmack (Gary); nephew, Austin Rainey (Lindsay); and great-nephew, Jesse Dale Rainey.
