Sharon Cooper Sheffield, 52, died tragically on Tuesday, December 19, 2008 as the result of an automobile/train collision. Sharon was born on November 3, 1970 in Okolona and grew up in Nettleton. She was a graduate of Nettleton High School, Class of 1988, where she was a member of the Beta Club. Sharon continued her education at Itawamba Community College where she received an AA in Radiologic Technology. She furthered her education at Northeast Miss. Community College where she earned a RN Degree in Nursing. She enjoyed helping others through the medical field and was employed at her death as a registered nurse at the Veterans Administration Clinic in Tupelo. On March 16, 2007, she married Ted Sheffield at St. James Catholic Church in Tupelo and they had two children, Robert Maxwell (Max) and Elizabeth Ann (Liz) Sheffield. Sharon was devoted to her nursing career but her life centered around her family where she found great peace and purpose as a wife and mother. Her love for her family and others was transparent and she was spiritually wise and faithful. Sharon and her family were members of St. James Catholic Church in Tupelo.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 AM Saturday, December 31, 2022 in Shelton Hall at St. James Catholic Church with Father Tim Murphy and Father Henry Shelton as celebrants. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Cemetery in Saltillo. Visitation will be from 9:30-service time Saturday at Shelton Hall at St. James. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to be serving their friends.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Liz Sheffield of Blue Springs; her parents, Sherry and John Folwer; two brothers, Scott Cooper (Jennifer) and John Curtis Brooks all of Nettleton and their families.
