Carl Lee Jenkins – Obituary

Carl Lee Jenkins, age 73, of Greenhill, Ala., passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Helen Keller Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Jenkins was a native of Davidson County, Tenn., a United States Army veteran, worked at K-Mart in Florence, Ala. for 32 and a half years, where he retired as the Shipping Manager and co-owner of Carl’s Greenhouses in Greenhill, Ala., along with his wife, Bertha, for 30 years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2013, at Loretto Memorial Chapel. Brother Mike Crews will be officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2013, at Loretto Memorial Chapel.

Survivors are wife, Bertha Ann Jenkins, Greenhill, Ala.; one son, Heairl Lee Jenkins and wife, Tracey White Jenkins, Central, Ala.; two daughters, Shannon Melissa Sanford, Greenhill, Ala., Jessica LeeAnn Jenkins and fiance, Chris Williams, Muscle Shoals, Ala. Pallbearers will be close friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carl Jenkins Memorial fund at Bank Independent to help pay for his funeral/medical expenses.

i was sorry to hear of my fathers passing i found out 2 months later my father and i were estranged during life and i was not there for the family like i should have been but i did still love my father and i wish the family would understand what kept us apart to my stepmother ann you understood more and i will always love for that you always had time to talk to me and if anyone knows how to conta ct my sister jessica please let me know i would love to see how she is doing she is the one sister i used talk to on the phone to my sister shannon i never even knew you existed until this year it is amazing what family will keep from you and to my brother heairl even though i wasn’t there didn’t mean i didn’t care but father kept us all apart and i’m sorry it makes me cry that i have no contact with my brother and sisters ann i pray you get better i understand you have lupus you don’t deserve it you are a good and caring lady whom i am proud to call my stepmother love always perry clouse (618) 365-9207 or (618) 433-9568
