Graveside service for Douglas Wayne “Doug” Jennings, age 73,
of Oxford, AL, will be Friday, March 8, 2013, 10:00 a.m.
at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery (McIntosh Road), Oxford, AL,
with Pastor Dennis Jennings and Rev. C.O. Grinstead officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 7, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
at Miller Funeral Home, Oxford.
Shelton Funeral Home of Decatur directing.
Mr. Jennings, who died Wednesday, March 6, 2013,
at McGuffey Healthcare Center in Gadsden,
was born June 2, 1939, in Calhoun County,
to Lewis Jackson Jennings and Vera Elizabeth “Bea” Reaves Jennings.
He is survived by three sons, Dennis Wayne Jennings (Jana) of Springfield, MO,
Randy Lee Jennings (Johnny) of Decatur, AL,
and David Lewis Jennings (Betty) of Shreveport, LA;
one “adopted” son, Bull Crosson of Oxford, AL;
one brother, Elbert “Bert” Jennings of Rockford, AL;
nine grandchildren;
and five great-grandchildren.
