Diane Dutschke Armstrong passed away unexpectedly on December 13, 2022, at the age of 84. Diane is survived by her husband of 63 years, Larry Armstrong; her brother, David Dutschke (wife, Carolyn); her children, Amy Crabb (husband, Jim), and Mark Armstrong; her grandchildren, Ashlyn Dix (husband, Jacob), Courtney Watwood (husband, Steven), and Garrett Crabb; and her great-grandson, Eli Dix. She was predeceased by her parents, Lelia Horrell Dutschke and James Arthur Dutschke.
Diane was a loving daughter, sister, wife, and mother. She devoted her life to caring for others. She was a loyal servant to her church, Willowbrook Baptist, with many years of volunteer service in their nursery, and a dedicated nurse to many during her career as a registered nurse. Diane was a precious Meme to her grandchildren and new great-grandchildren. She brought so much joy and laughter to all that knew her. While we know she is rejoicing in heaven, she will be deeply missed by her friends and family.
Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2022, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow in the chapel with Pastor Mark McClelland officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
