Deanie Burdett White, 89 of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, December 13th, 2022, at Limestone Health Facility. Mrs. White was born in Limestone County, on April 30th, 1933, to Andrew and Mary Vanhoozer Burdett.
Mrs. White is survived by her children Ronnie “R.V.” White (Wanda), Kellie White, and Kevin White; grandchild Christie White; great-grandchildren David Reece, and Heather Reece; great-great-grandchildren Harley Vaughn and Rue Reece; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Virgil M. White; brother W.B. “Bubby” Burdett; and sisters Mildred Goree, LeeElla King, Ann Story, and Gerald Hobbs.
A graveside service for Mrs. White will be Monday, December 19th, 2022, at 1:00pm at Limestone Memorial Gardens, with Donald Terry officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00am-12:30pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Eric Mattox, Curtis King, Tim Sanders, Tony Taylor, Shaun Hess, and Patrick Castle.
Mrs. White had a servant’s heart, as she was a long-time volunteer and employee of the Salvation Army in Athens.
