William David Money, Sr., age 79 of Winchester, passed away on December 9, 2022. David was born to the late Joseph Edward and Thelma Cowan Money in Winchester, Tennessee. He was a life-long member of Goshen Cumberland Presbyterian Church, having been born into the church family as many generations of his ancestors had been. He grew up on the Money family farm where he developed a strong work ethic and passion for agriculture. He became an innovative farmer in Franklin County and had a successful career row cropping and brokering grain with his brother Mike. David was a University of Alabama football fan and rarely missed an opportunity to watch a game and cheer for his team. He loved being outdoors, camping and hunting, and had a special appreciation for coon dogs and wild turkeys. He enjoyed all things mechanical, especially motorsports. He was an avid motorcyclist, competing in hill climbs and organized many community motorcycle trail rides on Sundays. David was a charming guy who loved his family and friends deeply. He never strayed far from his home and community. He was most happy and at peace while traveling through or relaxing in the Cumberland Mountain foothills. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother and farm partner, Mike Money, and his precious granddaughter, Mary Abigail Money. He is survived by children, Cindy Money Arnold, David (Karin) Money, Jr., Laura Money May, Tommy (Shannon) Money, Billy Joe Money, Chris Robertson; grandchildren, Lauran Arnold Godfrey, Lydia Money, Anna Money, Jesse May, Joshua May, Jocelyn James, Catherine Money, William Money, Jamie Money Hill, Alyvia Money, Layla Money, and great-grandchildren, Lella Godfrey, Aiden Woodard, Leo Woodard, Benen Hill, Magnolia Hill, and Riley Hill. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 12pm-2pm at Goshen Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2pm at the church. Interment will be held at Goshen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the Goshen Cemetery Fund.
