Eugene “Gene” Dulaney, 84, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022, at his home after an extended illness. He was born May 29, 1938, in Itawamba County, to Rex and Jewel Senter Dulaney. He was retired from Mid America Hardwood. He married the love of his life, Dorothy “Dot” Wilson Dulaney on May 4, 1959. He was a member of the Hill’s Chapel Baptist Church. He loved to work outdoors, talk to people, and he enjoyed eating catfish.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Rodney Lindsey and Bro. Ray Guin officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Dorothy “Dot” Wilson Dulaney; one daughter, Tina Dulaney, both of Mantachie; one brother, Tom Dulaney of Holly Springs; one sister-in-law, Clara Fay Dulaney of Belmont; one brother-in-law, Dove “Junior” Wilson of Antioch, TN; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by five sisters, Cleta Walker, Edith Davidson, Frances Christian, Ethelene Lesley, and Opal Wallace; his baby brother, Woodrow Dulaney; his father and mother in-laws, Dove and Esther Wilson; and his parents.

His nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
