J.E. Stacks went home to be with Lord on December 3, 2022 at 3:40 p.m. surrounded by his loved ones.
Services will be on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 family will view at 9:00 a.m., friends at 10:00 a.m. and funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel with burial at Day Cemetery in Oakman, Alabama. Bobby Smith and Darren Reynolds will officiate.
He was preceded in death by his Parents-Jackson Ephriam and Janie Brown Stacks; Grandson-Christopher Martin; Brothers-Gerald (Jew) Stacks and Gary Stacks; Sisters-Lillie Mae Hyche (Dude) and Dean Higginbotham (C.J.).
He is survived by his Wife of 48 years-Myra Key Stacks, Special grandson-Jarrett Ephraim Martin and Honorary grandson-Clay Lindsey, his Children-Janet Little (James “Peanut”), Granddaughter and Great Granddaughter-Terra “Buffy” Higginbotham and Abbey Higginbotham, Dennis Warren (Darla), Grandchildren and Grandsons-Dustin Warren (Abbey) and Dawson and Bennett Warren, Maci Harrison and Jaymison and Marli Story and Paxton, Tina Martin (David), Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren-Whittney Barrentine (Ronnie), Kortlynn, Brooklynn and Cooper and Ana Kate Barrentine, Jacob Couch and Eli, James Martin and Tate and Mali and Dustin Martin, Kathy Campbell and her children and grandchildren, Randy Stacks and his children and grandchildren, Karen Hood (Neal) and her children and grandchildren, Tanya Stacks and her children and grandchildren and Kim Harbin (Dean) and her children. Brother-Lecil Stacks and Sisters-Ruby Nell Ware (Phillip), Jane Hyche (the late Jimmy Hyche) and Myra Willis (Arthur) and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Rayford Brown, Jarrett Ephraim Martin, Clay Lindsey, Dustin Warren, Brock Smallwood, Ronnie Barrentine, Karl Hallmon, Bryan Campbell and Adam Stacks.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Cooper Dean Barrentine.
