Ronald David Elrod age 77 of Hackleburg, AL passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 at his residence.
Born April 16, 1945 in Pennsylvania, he is the Son of the late Ollie Baker Elrod Kelly and the late James Ottis Elrod. He had lived in the Wiginton Community most of his life and was a member of the Rocky Top Church. He was a jack of all trades. He had been a logger, mechanic, chicken farmer, and had worked for Marion County and the Town of Hackleburg.
He is survived by a Daughter, Stacey Elrod Cole, a Son, David (Gina) Elrod, Grandchildren Justin (Morgan) Elrod, Kaitlin (Brently) Jackson, Brady Cole, Camryn (Noah) Tucker, Chandler Elrod, Kobe Webb, Kaley Webb, Jaxon Cole, Kase Elrod, Summer Leggitt. Great Grandchildren, Kenzie Elrod, Jenna-Kate Jackson, Ava Elrod, Dexter Jackson, Samuel Elrod. Best Friend: Martha Mitchell
Double First Cousin: Cecil Baker.
Ronald was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Jennie Frederick Elrod, Father, Ottis Elrod, Mother, Ollie Baker Elrod Kelly(Stepfather- Nermon Kelly), his father and mother in law, 3 brothers and best friend James Mitchell.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Heather Clingan, Karen Heathcock, and Kimberly Fleming for helping with appointments and many others who brought food.
At his request the family will hold private Graveside Services with Bro. Randal Tice officiating.
