Charles Warren - Trenton, TNCharles F Warren, 84, of Trenton, TN went to be with the Lord on November 28, 2022.

He was born in Alamo, TN on July 21, 1938 to Clint and Hazel Warren.

He told of how much he loved his life in those wonderful golden, olden days in rural Crockett County where he worked hard during the days and slept well at night. He so loved his daddy, mamma, and his older and baby sisters, Virginia and Mary Elizabeth, and was a better man because of them in his life.

He graduated from Alamo High School in 1956 and joined the Air Force and served for four years and traveled to Guam.

After returning home, he met his wife of 40 years, Roberta Quinn Cotham, and they married in 1965. They made a family life together eventually settling in Trenton, TN with his son, Anthony, and daughters, Carla and Karen.

He took care of a garden, farm with lots of animals, coon hunted, and worked for Wonder Bread in the early years before continuing a career in the porcelain enamel industries at The O. Hommel Company and APEC.

In his later years, living alone, he enjoyed taking care of his little buddy Yorkie, his property, fishing, cooking pies, feeding the hummingbirds, and pampering his beautiful flowers, always with a smile and a charming wink.

He cherished the company of his friends and neighbors. A few special ones to mention are Damon Oliver, Jimmy Cates, Dr. Lynn McQue, Ken and Susan Marler and Steve Rabb, who all were particularly leaned upon in these past months, as well as his beloved “Dr. Wanda” Graupman with Christian Family Medicine.

Charles was a faithful presence with his church family at the Church of Christ in Trenton, TN where Brent Smith is the preacher and a good friend. They were a treasured source of comfort for his soul and took tremendous care over him through these years.

Charles was a cancer survivor for over a decade until succumbing to this disease again now.

He is survived by his daughters; Karen Garner (Clay) of Nashville, TN and Carla Brewer (Monte) of Trenton, TN; his sisters, Virginia Smith of Alamo, TN and Mary Elizabeth Cumberland of Middleton, TN; and his grandchildren, Danielle Kolwyck (Derek), Lesley Anne Christopher (Brandon), and Courtney Carrington, all residing in Trenton, TN with his numerous great grandchildren.

Charles will be remembered in a funeral service at the Trenton Church of Christ in Trenton, TN on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 12pm and, afterwards, will be laid to rest in his hometown at the Alamo City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10am until service time on Thursday at the Trenton Church of Christ.
