Funeral service for Dois Smith Woodard, 88, will be Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Perkins officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Johnson Cemetery in Speake. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Ms. Woodard died on Friday, November 25, 2022 at her residence. She was born May 11, 1934, in Morgan County, to Cordie Lee Smith and Ethel Curtis Smith.
Dois was a lovely lady who loved her family and friends. She grew up farming on her families’ farm. They had a large garden as well as cotton they picked by hand. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in her youth. as an adult, she was a homemaker for her family and a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and continued to assist with her family farm. She was always available to help a friend in need. She sewed costumes and clothing for baby dolls as well as making all types of sewn housewares. She loved yard sales and flea markets. She never hestitated to offer her help even as far as driving people to Birmingham for Doctor appointments. She will be sorely missed and we know that we were all truly loved by that one incredible lady.

Son – Larry D. Woodard
Sister – Dorothy Martin
Grandchildren – Brian Woodard and Jason Woodard
Three Great Grandchildren – Cole, Wyatt and Waylon Woodard.
Pallbearers will be Chris McLemore, Brian Woodard, Jason Woodard, Chris Harrison, Tim Sandlin, Brad Wade and Chad Dawson.
