Margaret Elizabeth Reed Milton passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 17 after recently celebrating her 90th birthday.
She was born to Faye and Roy Reed on October 30, 1932 in Midlothian, Texas.
Margaret was predeceased by two sons, Stephen Milton, and Richard Milton II, one brother, Kenneth Reed, one sister, Laura Jeanne Dailey, brother-in-law, Russell Dailey, and her parents, Faye and Roy Reed.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Hannah Milton Holland (Trent), her grandson, Patrick Milton, her sister, Nellafay Isom (Billy), her sister-in-law, Betty Reed and great-grandchildren, Kate, Samuel and Jack Holland, as well as beloved nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Margaret was a graduate of the University of Texas and received her Master’s Degree from the University of Alabama. She retired from the Huntsville City School System. Margaret was a longtime member of Mastin Lake Church of Christ whose membership recently merged with Meridianville Church of Christ. Margaret was an avid reader, game and card player. Her greatest joy was playing her vintage set of games with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as with her friends and family.
Visitation will be Monday, November 21 at 10:00 AM followed by a memorial service at 10:45 AM at Meridianville Church of Christ, 12228 Hwy 231, Meridianville AL with Brother Scotty Sparks officiating. Margaret will be laid to rest in Midlothian, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to AGAPE of North Alabama.
