Patricia “Sue” Louise Ashley, age 63 of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 10, 1959, in Winchester, Tennessee to Thomas Ashley and the late Margie (Bishop) Ashley. Sue enjoyed playing basketball for South Junior High in the mid 1970’s and was a 1978 class graduate of Franklin County High School. From 1982 – 1986, Sue served in the United States Army. Following her military service, she worked as a civil service personnel in the contracts department at Fort Belvoir, Virginia for thirty-three years. Sue moved back to Lincoln County, Tennessee in 2016 to be reunited with family. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, traveling to different places, and loved attending family events where she earned the nickname “family paparazzi.” Sue cheered on Alabama “Roll Tide” and enjoyed watching family feud with Steve Harvey. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a happy person who enjoyed playing practical jokes and being the life of the party. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her sister, Debbie Beal.

Sue is survived by her father, Thomas Ashley of Winchester; her two siblings, Vickie Ashley and James (Bobbie Jo) Ashley, both of Winchester; her nephew, Brandon (Jessica) Ashley; her two nieces, Felicia (Jonathan) Baker, and Angela (Bryan) Sanders; her eight great-nephews and great-nieces, Madelin Ashley, Kaelyn (Alex) Boesch, Kami Farris, Austyn Sanders, Caden Sanders, Raeven Baker, Thomas Smith, and Alayna Smith; and four legged babies, Lucky and Prince.

Visitation for Sue will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2022, from 1:00pm – 2:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with a memorial service following at 2:00pm with Bro. Joe Hill officiating. Moore-Cortner Funeral Home 300 1st Ave NW, Winchester, TN 37398, (931)967-2222
