Betty Ogg Betty Ruth Brown Ogg, age 77, of Dover and formerly of Robertson County, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Houston County Hospital. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 14, 2022 at 1pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Brother Tyler Estep officiating. Burial will follow in the Bellwood Cemetery with Tyler Ogg, Ben Ogg, Troy Ogg, Cody Ogg, Spencer Penticuff, Travis Clemens, Sabin Durham and Landon Wall-Bohanon serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, November 13, 2022 from 4-8pm and again on Monday from 11am until the hour of service at 1pm.

Mrs. Ogg was born January 23, 1945 in Robertson County to the late Edward Eliga and Ruth Cook Brown. She worked as a Nurse’s Aide and was a member of the Cross Plains Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Ogg is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Franklin Ogg, sons, Jeffrey D. Ogg and Billy Ray Ogg, her brother, Eddie Brown, her sister, Carolyn Stewart, and her grandchildren, Billy Ogg and Nathan Ogg.

Mrs. Ogg is survived by her sons, Gary Lynn Ogg and Sammy S. Ogg; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
