Diane Carol Wiesinger Diane Carol Wiesinger, 79, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 31 in her home in Columbia, Tennessee.

Diane was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 2, 1942 to Frank Wink and Dora (Olm) Wink.  She graduated from Bayview High in 1961 and loved going up to northern Wisconsin, especially Waupaca and Casey Lake and passed that love on to her own family later in life.  She met her husband, Robert William Wiesinger, and they married November 23, 1963.  They were married 54 years before he passed away.  She had their two sons, Brian and Jeff, while living in Milwaukee.  They moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where she was employed at the Desert Rose Motel and served as a switchboard operator and waitress in the motel restaurant.  She loved working with people and became friends with many of the winter residents of the hotel throughout her life.  In retirement, she moved to Columbia, Tennessee where “Granny” was able to indulge her love of watching football, especially the Green Bay Packers and Tennessee Titans, and tennis.  She loved spoiling her children and grandchildren by providing their favorite treats whenever they came to visit, and she was quick to want to go out to eat or get takeout and wanted everyone to be happy with what they got. She was extremely generous and always wanted to know where everyone was and if they were safe and doing well which made her happy.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her husband.  She is survived by her sons, Brian (Kim) and Jeff (Darlene), her six grandchildren, Madison, Allana, Rebecca, Mylee (Braden), Maci, and Brady, as well as her brother, Gary.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 20th, at 4:00 PM at Heritage Funeral home, 609 Bear Creek Pike, Columbia, Tennessee 38401.  There will be a visitation time to meet with family at 3:00 PM beforehand and a dinner immediately following the service.  We invite you to join us in remembering our mom and Granny, who was dearly loved. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
