Paul Dewayne McGill, age 70 of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at his residence. He was born on August 2, 1952, in Jackson County, Alabama to the late Thurman and Marie (Tidwell) McGill. Before his retirement, he was employed by AEDC as a machinist. In his younger years, he enjoyed home improvement projects, as well as taking pride in growing a garden. Paul was an avid sports fan, and he enjoyed cheering for the Atlanta Braves and Alabama Crimson Tide. But most of all, he cherished the time spent with his beloved family, especially his children and grandchildren. He was a faithful member of Winchester Holiness Church for forty plus years, where he served as an elder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Ray McGill; father-in-law, Charles Lindberg Evans; brother-in-law, Larry Coffey; and sisters-in-law, Christy McGill and Henrietta Evans Wills. Paul is survived by his spouse of forty-nine years, Regina McGill; children, Chad McGill of Winchester, Deven (Jason) Mahathey of New Market, Alabama, and Grant McGill (Peggy Farris) of Winchester; grandchildren, Evan, Ellie, AnnaBella, Bentley, and Chasity; siblings, Terry (Zebbie) McGill of Scottsboro, Alabama, Grady (Charlotte) McGill of Chatsworth, Georgia, and Angie (John) Ross of Skyline, Alabama; mother-in-law, Lois Evans; brothers and sisters-in-law, Faye McGill, Ray Evans, Shirley Evans, Howard (Debbie) Evans, Jearldine (Tom) McBee, Jackie (Tami) Evans, and Cliff Wills; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home and from 11am-12pm on Monday, November 7, 2022, at Winchester Holiness Church. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, November 7, 2022, at Winchester Holiness Church with Bro. Rodger Paradise officiating.
