John Lee Morris, age 66 died early Saturday morning, October 29, 2022 at his home in Henderson.
He was born in Jackson, TN October 6, 1956. His parents were Joe Kenneth and Florence Imogene Luttrell Morris. He grew up in Chester County and was a graduate of Chester County High School.
In his early career he installed metal buildings for Wallington Brothers in Jacks for a little over a decade. He then worked as a carpenter building houses with his brother Bobby at Evans Construction.
He married Katherine Woodruff Moore in 1992 and they made their home in Henderson.
He enjoyed watching Nascar, football and westerns.
He is survived by his wife Kathy of Henderson, a son Adam (Nicole) Morris of Pinson; a daughter Stephanie Morris of Finger; 6 grandchildren Hunter and Austyn Pearson, Tristan and Greenlee Morris, Abby Clark, Nevaeh Smith; and two brothers Bobby and Jeff Evans both of Henderson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Tom Morris.
A Memorial Service at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Henderson’s Crook Avenue Chapel is being planned and the time will be announced when it is scheduled.
