Timothy D. McKee, Sr., 70, of Huntsville, passed from this life to the next on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at home surrounded by family and friends. Tim was known for being a faithful, loving Christian who adored his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Tim was well known in the community for his benevolence and sharing his faith in God. His humor was contagious, his smile was infectious, and his ability to show love and make others feel special was truly his gift. Tim retired from Huntsville Utilities as Chief Financial Officer and Vice-President in 2010. He attended Central Church of Christ and was a member of the Greater Nashville Rotary Club and the Lion’s Club.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Aude and Verna McKee, a gospel preacher and missionary.
Survivors include his loving wife, Joy; children, Dean, Jared (Laura), and Kristen Lowe (Eddy); and was Poppy to his grandchildren, Sydney, Addy, E.J., Emmerson, Beckett, Ruby, and Nolan. Also surviving Tim are his brothers, Larry, David, and John, and their families; brother-in-law, Randy Hasty; sister-in-law, Jane Jones, and their families. Tim leaves behind many friends which is a testament to his loving heart. He will be missed.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2022, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Darrel Yontz and John McKee officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
