Mr. Erwin Leo Jacobs, age 85, of McMinnville, TN, died Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Ascension St. Thomas River Park Hospital. He was born November 22, 1936 in McMinnville, TN, was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a retired supervisor with Century Magnetek / A.O. Smith with over 38 years employment, a volunteer fireman, and a Boy Scout leader for over 20 years. Mr. Jacobs was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Vernon and Hattie Foutch Jacobs, sister Oleta Carden, and brothers Corwin Jacobs, Junior Jacobs, Nevis Jacobs, and Edzel Jacobs.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years Melba Blanton Jacobs, sons Jeffery Warren (Kim) Jacobs and Rena Jacobs, grandchildren Jason Jacobs and Jared Jacobs, great grandchildren Morgan Jacobs, Aiden Jacobs, and Craig Jacobs, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 29, 2022 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. William Randolph will officiate. Interment will follow at Center Hill Cemetery in Cannon County. The Jacobs family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday and again from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday at McMinnville Funeral Home.
