Martha J. Moore, 78, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born May 10, 1944 to the late Roy Smith and the late Lizzie Robbins Smith in Itawamba County. She enjoyed word search puzzles, blowing bubbles with her grandchildren, listening to country music, and going to the Jamboree. Martha really enjoyed going riding around and stopping to get a strawberry milkshake. Her greatest enjoyment was rocking in her rocking chair and spending time with her family.
Services will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday October 25, 2022 at Senter Funeral Home with Mike Deaton officiating. Burial will be in Harden’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday October 24, 2022 at Senter Funeral Home.
Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
She is survived by her daughters; Brenda (Mark) Cummings of Shannon, Wanda (Howard) Murphy of Fulton, and Stephanie (Adam) Roberts of Baldwyn, grandchildren; Haley (Cody) Jones of Fulton, Santanna (Kyle) Nikkila of Fulton, Lee (Haylee) Carter of Booneville, Marcus (Skylar) Cummings of Booneville, Josh (Emma) Roberts of Baldwyn,Loren Roberts of Baldwyn, great-grandsons; Kaysen Lee Jones, and Roper Gauge Jones, host of nieces and nephews, and 2 speical neighbors; Charles Dozier, and Auvie Thomas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry “Cowboy” Moore, and her parents, Roy and Lizzie Smith, 4 sisters, Serena “Teen” Sheffield, Jean McMillen, Geneva Smith, and Nell Pinkston, and 1 brother, Paul Smith.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Stanford, Andrew Stanford, Chris Smith, TJ Timms, and Doug Smith.
