Wilda Faye Weber Pointer Wilda Faye Weber Pointer, of Springfield, MO and then Huntsville, AL was called home by our Heavenly Father on October 20, 2022 at 87. She was surrounded by all her children and grandchildren at her bedside.

She was a wonderful loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will live on in the hearts of those who love her and forever in Heaven.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Nellie Weber; sister, Georgia Turner; Pleasant Hope High School sweetheart and husband of 29 years, Ted Pointer, and their firstborn child, Jimmie.

Wilda Faye was born and raised in Springfield, MO then moved to Huntsville, AL when her husband got a job working for IBM on the Apollo space program. Over the years in Huntsville she attended Latham United Methodist Church, First Christian Church, and Locust Grove Baptist Church. After Ted’s death she worked as a sales lady in the Woman’s World Department of Kastner-Knott, later Dillard’s in Madison Square Mall. She loved God, Jesus, her family, and friends, Elvis, cardinal redbirds, traveling, romance novels, and watching figure skating, and Alabama football.

Wilda is survived by her children, James Pointer, Debbie Serr (Martin) and Jana Russell (David); grandchildren, Devon Smith (Anthony), Joshua Grounds, Jessica Grounds, Eric Johnson, and Stephanie Johnson; and great grandchildren Kason Smith, Kyler Smith, and Ronan Grounds; and numerous beloved cousins, nephews, nieces, and in-laws.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Berryhill funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be Friday, October 28, 2022 at Berryhill Funeral Home at 2:00 PM, followed by a short trip to Maple Hill Cemetery for burial and a brief graveside Benediction.
