Norma Elliott, of Huntsville AL, passed away on October 15, 2022, at the age of 86. Norma was born in Puerto Rico and graduated from Miami High School in 1954. She was the financial secretary at Wayside Baptist Church (Miami), and Registrar at Gulliver Academy (Miami) and Morris Elementary (Huntsville).
Throughout her life, Norma was active in church ministry. She enjoyed music, art, and spending time with her family. She’d often be seen shopping and having breakfast with friends at Gibson’s restaurant.
Norma was preceded by the death of her husband, Travis Eugene Elliott Jr., in 1996 and her sister, Angie Hart, in 2000. Survivors include her brother, Edward Smith (Denise); sister, Zukie Smith; children, Janis Miller (Keith), Wanda Marin (Jorge), and Ken Elliott (Lana). Her grandchildren include Kyle Miller (Michaela), Kory Miller (Alex), Katlin Miller, Brook Marin (Laura), Shane Marin (Analisa), Dakota Woodson (Adam), Peyton Cash (Nathan), Jack Elliott, and Audrey Elliott. She also was blessed with 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Saturday, October 22 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home, with funeral services following at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will take place at Maple Hill Cemetery.
