Funeral Service for Joyce Pierce Fitzgerald, 77 of Danville will be Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 1:30PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Gunter officiating with burial in Herring Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:30PM-1:30PM at the funeral home. She was born July 11, 1945 in Chilton County, AL to Clyde Pierce and Vesta Ward Pierce. Joyce passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Huntsville Hospital. She was a Member of Northside Baptist Church in Lakeland, FL. Preceded in death by her parents, 6 Brothers, Buddy Pierce, James Pierce, Jim Pierce, John Pierce, Jessie Pierce, and Leon Pierce. 6 Sisters, Jetteielene Sims, Delma Pierce, Myrtle Pierce, Maggie Sandlin, Jewell Scott, and Mattie Ree Patrick. Joyce was a good hearted woman, loving wife ,mother, grandmother, and sister. She was very empathetic and concerned about people and she loved people. She graduated from Verbena High School and attended Berry College in Rome, GA. Joyce loved Reading, Writing and talking to people. She was a wonderful Aunt and great aunt.
