Mary Carol Brown, age 83 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Manchester Health Care. She was born October 1, 1939 in Red Warrior, West Virginia to the late William T. and Lillie Mae (Totten) Ronk. Mary was a legal secretary for a law firm in Charleston, WV after graduation from East Bank High School. She loved to go to the beach, loved to dance, and loved being with family especially at Christmas and holidays Mary loved life and had a smile for everyone. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Naomi Mae Ronk Curry; brother, William Thomas Ronk, II and son, Patrick Lee Elkins. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Darrell Lee Curry, Shirley Mae (Curry) Ashley,Barbara Jean Curry Mace, Linda Curry Howell Carver, Stella Curry Higginbotham, Fred Curry Jr, Carol Sue Curry McCallister, William Thomas “ Tommy” Ronk, III, Brenda Joyce Ronk Deede, James “Jimmy” Earnest Ronk Lawrence “Larry” Wayne Ronk. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 12pm until 2pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 2pm in the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
