Frances Cotney Hightower, age 83, of Florence, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022. Visitation will be Monday, October 10th from 2:30 pm until 3:00 pm at Killen Community Cemetery. Graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm with Pastor Dean Bower officiating.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Walker, Sr.; parents, William Webster Fannie Cotney; sister, Elizabeth May.
Survivors are her husband, Larry K. Hightower; children, Donna Muns (Sammie), of Trafford, Alabama, Robert Walker, Jr. (Lori), of Lexington, Alabama, and Eve Henson (Randy); grandchildren, Jennifer Bridgmon (Shawn), Dr. Stephanie Muns, and Devan Henson.
Frances was a member of St. James United Methodist Church and Circle of Hope. She attended Auburn University and Florence State College where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority and was retired with Posey Furniture as a bookkeeper.
