Floyd Cleo Willingham, Sr., age 81, of Russellville, passed away on Saturday, October 01, 2022, at Helen Keller Hospital.
Floyd was a member of the Franklin County Cattleman’s Association and enjoyed farming. He was a supervisor with Martin Industries and retired after 35 years. He then drove a school bus for 10 years with the Franklin County Schools. He was a faithful member of Posey Church of Christ. He was the strongest man his family knew, a precious soul who was truly loved and will be dearly missed. He fought a hard fight, but his race is now over. His family will cherish the many wonderful memories with PaPaw Floyd.
He was preceded in death his parents, Oran & Beulah (Taylor) Willingham; siblings, Lloyd Willingham, Rachel Willingham, Nelson Willingham, Anderson Willingham, William Willingham, Leo Willingham, Lenice Dean, Lillian Guthrie, Madrue Mitchell, Willard Smelser, and Vernilou Bragwell.
Floyd leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 61 years, Lurlie Smelser Willingham; sons, Floyd Willingham, Jr. (Kim), Wade Willingham (Robbin), Jeff Willingham (Kathrina); grandchildren, Cody & Lindzey Willingham, Cole Willingham, Trey Willingham, Emma & T.J. Foster, David Plott, Isac Willingham, Felica Campos, Noelle Willingham, Natalie Willingham, Miguel Willingham, Lilliana Willingham; great-grandchildren, Tripp and Ensleigh Foster; brother-in-law, Steve Bragwell; special friends, Royce Holcomb, Jerry & Sue Brewer; and a host of nieces & nephews.
The visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 04, 2022, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 1:00 Wednesday, October 05, 2022, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Gary Carter and Bro. Matt McDuffa officiating the service. Burial will be at Taylor Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Cody Willingham, Cole Willingham, Trey Willingham, David Plott, Isac Willingham, and Miguel Willingham. The honorary pallbearers will be T.J. Foster and Tripp Foster.
